An interesting article in NYTimes about people, who tattoo number on their hand “to be intimately, eternally bonded to their survivor-relative”. The article talks about history of Auschwitz tattoos, motivation of people getting these tattoos now, and reaction they get from others. There’s also a preview clip of a new Israeli documentary “Numbered,” which make its premiere in the United States next month at the Chicago International Film Festival.
